What would be your answer if you ask yourself: am I a happy person?

You would most probably answer – I am happy, but I would be much happier if… and you would start counting the things that disturb you in this period of your life.

There doesn’t exist a single person in the whole world who is absolutely happy. Every time you will achieve something or solve some problem, there will appear something new with the same importance, something that would disturb you inside at the same level as the previous problem. And this is normal. You just need to live with it. This is life. Life is like a roller coaster – sometimes you are at the top, but sometimes not, and there will always be ups and downs.

For example, you have achieved something and you are very happy for it. But honestly, how long would you feel that happiness and satisfaction inside? Usually, you would be happy and satisfied for a quite short time. After that, you will either set some new goal, or there might appear some new problem to solve with the same importance as before, and everything starts over from the beginning. You find yourself searching for happiness again.

The main key for happiness is to be happy now! Just feel it, don’t relate it to any situation, and don’t postpone it for some better time. You can be happy today and right now. Everything depends just on you. Each situation in your life has two sides. It is up to you which side you prefer to see and what are your priorities in life. Even from some bad situation, you can have positive results such as experience and life lesson, which can help you to avoid it next time. How to change your life and feel happiness on a daily basis? What can you do right now to change your life?


Here are seven main rules to change your life immediately:

  1. Pay attention for each moment.

It is not necessary to go visit some exotic country to feel happiness. You can feel it right now. Pay attention for some small things which make you happy every day such as: having coffee with your friend, playing with your kids, spending time with your spouse, finding a good parking spot in a busy lot, and so on.

  1. Learn to see the beauty in simple things.

Beauty – this is the key to the awareness of the most important things. Quite often, we don’t see things the way we should see them. We take things for granted, even without paying any attention to their unicity. Daily things such as a beautiful blossoming tree on the street, or the beautiful color of the sky. How often do we pay attention and enjoy them? Mother Nature is amazing. God gave us everything to enjoy our life and make our life happier: beautiful trees, flowers, mountains, sunrises, sunsets, and so on. Pay attention to it. Enjoy it!

  1. Perceive life as a game.

Modern life is very hard for every adult. We have so many daily responsibilities, rush time, work – work, as well as personal duties towards our families. Every day we should learn a lot of new stuff to stay up-to-date because life is changing tremendously. In order to make it easier, try to live your life like playing a game. We were all children and we were preparing for real life and learning through games we used to play. Perceiving life as a game will help you to minimize your stress and to take life easier. It will increase your happiness and satisfaction! You will win in this game!

  1. Be grateful for every moment in your life.

You should be grateful for the little simple things you receive in your life well-known  fact – gratitude is very powerful. If you want to attract more, start by being grateful for what you have first and you will get more. Each evening, think about what you were grateful for during your day? It could be anything that made you happy during the day, such as delicious food, smooth day at work, good health of your family, good weather, anything you enjoyed today.

  1. Keep working on yourself.

Each day you should find time for yourself. Every day each of us wake up with some energy. It is up to you to decide where you will spend your energy during the day, at work, with your family, with your friends, and so on. Remember, in order to give something, you should have it first. If you don’t have time for yourself, you will not have enough energy and power to have a good and happy life. You will be running around without seeing any results. It is very important to fill yourself with good and positive energy. Try to keep a balance between supporting your friends and family and supporting yourself. Don’t waste your energy just for others, invest it in yourself. Every day, remember – every day – you should spend at least 15 minutes doing something that gives you energy and happiness. It could be shopping, cooking, drawing, walking, talking… or anything you really enjoy. First of all, charge yourself with happiness and you will receive it back multiplied.

  1. Be ready for changes.

Nothing is permanent in our life. Changes happen every day. Everything is temporary in our life. The most permanent thing in life is temporality. Be ready for changes. It is up to you how you perceive them. Try to see and notice the positive side from every change. Changes are a part of life. Just be prepared for them.

  1. Change your thoughts about life.

If you are not happy with your life, just make some change. Keep moving. If you want to have a happy life, first of all, the majority of your thoughts should be about a happy life. If you don’t like the place where you live, change it, you are not a tree to stay there all your life. It is definitely not easy and it will not happen right away, but do something to change it. If you want to have another job, do what you should do to get it. Go to study, volunteer, or get to know more about your dream job, just do something. Dreaming is good, but if you want to have it, you should work for it.

Your life depends just on you. You are the boss of your life. You decide from which perspective you want to see it. You decide if you want to see happiness or problems.
